Missions at Grace Fellowship Church

“Make disciples of all peoples.”

“You will be My witnesses after the Holy Spirit comes upon you.”

This is the charge and promise of Jesus to His Apostles prior to His ascension. The church is to demonstrate the life and power of God in the lives of people, His kingdom. We see this as a vital part of our kingdom responsibility at Grace Fellowship Church.

Grace Fellowship Church supports three different world missionaries on a monthly basis:

Ernest Ehabe and Bread for Life International: Ernest Ehabe is a native of Cameroon. He attended Arkansas Tech University here in Russellville and Fellowship of Christians Church back in the 1970’s. (Now City Church). Ernest is working to see the gospel of Jesus Christ transform his native culture in Cameroon. I encourage you to watch the five minute video on the Bread for Life Website.

Ken and Marta Morton: Ken is working with Wycliffe Bible Translators serving as the International Media Services Liaison for Africa. That means that Ken is helping missionaries to use media to get people to hear the Bible in their native language. One of the challenges of Wycliffe Bible Translators missionaries is that once the books of the Bible are translated into a new language, the people need to be able to read their language. Sometimes the language has never even been written down before. Because of the advent of modern technology, the Scriptures can be given to people in an audio format, allowing them to “Hear the Word of the Lord.” Ken used to be a Nuclear Engineer at Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville and was a former member at Grace Fellowship Church.

Steve and Kelly Walters: Steve and Kelly Walter serve with SIL International. Steve has a Doctoral Degree in teaching Linguistics and Kelly has worked in the field of literacy for many years. Steve is currently teaching in Dallas, Texas at SIL international. Kelly was a member in the past here at Grace Fellowship Church.

Grace Fellowship also supports local service ministries in our community. As a part of our monthly giving we support:

The Russ Bus: https://www.therussbus.org/

The Russ Bus serves the homeless in the River Valley. Their vision is to bring hope to the homeless by empowering, educating and partnering with those in need to improve their unique situation. Please look at their web page above.

Beyond our monthly gifts, Grace Fellowship also serves people in our community through various other ministries by special gifts and through our benevolence fund. Some examples of organizations that we have served in 2021:

Teen Challenge, Russellville Education Association of Christian Home Schoolers, Boy Scout Troop 214, Choices Pregnancy Clinic, River Valley Christian Clinic, Hope Center, The Help Network, Salvation Army, Cross and Shield Ministries and The River Valley Disc Golf Association.
